Αn american man who is Florida says that Apple stole his iPhone design idea. He is deciding to prosecute the giant of technology seeking billions of dollars. Thomas Ross from Florida has filed lawsuit in a federal court this week against Apple claiming the Californian tech giant`s products infringe on his invention of an electronic reading device. Ross says he is the one who came up with the iPhone, iPad and iPod. According to him, Ross invented ERD in 1992 and after Apple is using his designs as the base for their products.

Mr. Ross applied for a utility patent to protect his invention but the patent application was declared abandoned by the U.S patent and trademark office. He failed to pay the required fees to protect the ERD. He is asking from Apple $ 11 billion (roughly Rs 67.435 crores) in damages and another $ 10 billion(roughly Rs 74.177 crores) in compensation. Ross has also insisted at least 1.5 percent sale of all future iPhones.”Instead of creating its own ideas” Ross said, “Apple choose to adopt a culture of dumpster diving as an R&D(research and development)strategy “.

The first iPhone was launched in the year 2007.In the filling Ross said that Apple did not comply with a cease -and -desist order he sent the company. Even if the company did not answer to on AFP request for comment .Apple said that the suit is without merit.
